The Salt Table story! An unforgettable experience.
This Savannah Original was awarded the coveted Trip Advisor ‘Hall of Fame’ recognition for the second consecutive year for maintaining great customer reviews for over seven years straight. The Salt Table is known for its five-star customer service and its unique tasting experience that has visitors returning again and again. In all shops, customers are encouraged to sample not only the salt and seasoning blends but hundreds of other gourmet foods including loose tea, sugars, oils, vinegars, popcorn, and much more.
Salt Table’s knowledgeable “Flavor Consultants” are always ready to provide sampling assistance of hand-blended salts, seasonings, and specialty food products, all locally produced in their own facility.
Owners Carol and Dave Legasse founded the company in 2011 with the idea that customers should be encouraged to sample before they buy. “At The Salt Table you can taste hundreds of food items, and we make it easy by providing endless sampling throughout the store,” says Carol. The Salt Table’s unique seasoning blends have won major flavor competitions and the couple are often featured on TV and have been featured in magazine, newspaper articles and blogs, including Travel Girl, Southern Flavor, Paula Deen’s Magazine, Worth magazine and many others. The couple are also frequently seen on the speaker’s circuit.
Also featured in their shops are other highly acclaimed Georgia Grown® specialty foods, such products as pecans, ginger products, honey, coffee, jellies and jams, cookies, snacks, and sauces — all made members of Georgia Grown. Local crafts, photography and handcrafted pottery will complete the customer’s Georgia experience.
For wine enthusiasts, The Salt Table offers award-winning Georgia wines, including dry reds and whites from the North Georgia Mountains to the sweet fruit wines of the Low Country. Wine tasting is offered at the downtown Savannah store and the new Savannah airport shop. Yes, you can bring wine onto the plane from the airport shop because it’s behind TSA security. So, be sure The Salt Table is on the top of your “Must Do!” list during your next visit. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind Savannah experience … and a great shop for those special Georgia gifts.
